Hi,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop and I have narrowed it down to these two:
Sony Vaio VGN-NS25GS - $1454 incl gst
Link to specs - http://www.sony.co.nz/products/product/computer/vaio-notebook/vgnns25gs.jsp
Or,
Acer Aspire 6530 - $1623 incl gst
Features
* Processor: AMD Turion X2
* 3GB DDR2 RAM
* 320GB SATA HDD
* 16" WXGA CrystalBrite Widescreen
* Operating System: Vista Home Premium
* Video Graphics: ATI Radeon HD3200 256MB Dedicated system memory for graphics card
* Wireless LAN: 802.11b/g/N
* Bluetooth: Yes
* Card Reader: 5-in-1
I was really close to buying the Sony until I stumbled accross this Acer which is $200 more but to me it seems the Acer is well worth the extra money.
What's swaying me is the larger HD, superior vid card, more RAM, nice size screen.
BUT, I'm not sure about the processor compared to the Intel??
Thanks to anyone who spends the time comparing the two and giving their opinion or other suggestions.
PS $1600 is an absolute maximum price for me.
Cheers,
Steve.
