I have Sony Bravia HD tv and trying to send audio to the TV from dell laptop with no HDMI port.
I can extend desktop screen to dual monitor from windows XP on to the LCD TV and that works fine. I am not able to send audio signals to the TV.
As per the technical specs, there is an audio in available:
PC Input (15pin D-Sub) + Audio In |

There is a 3.5 inch connector port on TV near the PC input. I am able to connect to TV LCD monitor using VGA port from PC. TV manual instructs to use PC cable with ferrite core. It does mention about PC audio input (minijack).
please advice me if anyone has done these setup and what is the cable to get to do this connection.
