Anything I should know that would sway my decision?

Dont care about the 0.3 vga cam as I never use it anyway. Will be upgrading it to 2gb ram and will be installing either moblin, ubuntu netbook remix or win7.

I have to get it from bond and bond today (for $900) because of a gift card :(

It either this or a hp mini 1109 for the same price

I think the Acer Apire One is a good choice. Value for money compared to the HP Mini. Go for it man, no regrets:)

Just found out about the next atom chips (pineview). Should I wait for these?

Apparently they only consume half the current power usage and don't require a fan for cooling.

There is a whole new range coming soon. DS have a HP mini-1128TU for $800, I think B&B have that too for $50 more. HP advantage is having an SSD and longer battery life. Apire One, is good too with a much larger HDD.

I'm typing this on my aspire one D150 it's great, I had win 7 on it for a while but running XP pro with 2gb ram at the moment, win 7 runs aero fine and performance is OK - i'm going to wait for the RTM to upgrade.

The atom is OK for most things but I find some fash sites a bit slow eg. testdrive.co.nz however even my desktop at home has issues with that site.

The small size is fantastic, I personally have no issues with the keyboard size but my wife thinks the keys are a bit small.

If you go for black be prepared for it to pick up every fingerprint under the sun, I would go for a different colour if I had my time again.

I am very happy with the machine.

The HP mini has a maximum of 1gb ram :(

B&B isnt the cheapest, but im forced to shop there because of the $400 gift card.

I actually wanted the samsung nc120 which comes with a 6cell battery and runs for around 7hours, but B&B dont sell it. I feel like waiting for the next SALE, but I require a netbook asap.

Cash is king mate. You can always talk the prices down with a salesman (especially B&B) when you have cash.

You can wait for the next Atom refresh but with technology, you can never catch up. If you only need the netbook to get online and check e-mails, a slightly faster processor isn't going to be worth the wait or the money.
