I have an infra red port on my computer and want to send files from my mobile phone to the laptop, but i dont know how to activate the port!
Can anyone help? do i need some sort of software?

activate infrared on your phone and align it with your infrared port for your pc. In windows xp this should bring it to your attention. If you purchased a USB adapter or something similar drivers should be accompanied by instructions and you sohuld install as directed.
