I have had my Acer pc for 7months now. Just innstalled windows 7, there was windows vista before.
The pc used to work about 6hours before, but when I installed windows 7 it now only works for about 3-3,5hours. I have heard that it should be able to work longer with win 7.

Cold it be that the power plan that I now use is the reason for the drop in batter time?? I also think there was a spesial program for controling the power use on win vista. Anyone know anything about this?

Make sure you have all the correct and current drivers then go though the power options. If you want long battery life go with either balanced or power saver.

There have been many reports that Windows 7 is not delivering the longer battery life that was expected but most of that seems to be coming down to drivers which have not yet been optimised.

I have the smaller 3810, drivers and the acer power management program are on the website. Also if you got the free upgrade through acer they should have given you a seperate drivers disc, with everything you need?
I'm still getting more than 8hrs with mine on win 7, it's the core SOLO though.
