i currently have a brand new laptop using windows xp home and i have a k750i mobile phone on vodafone, i have managed to get it to connect at a speed of 115.2 kbps using my phone and a bluetooth dongle.  i have heard that if i buy a 3g phone it will be faster?  is this true? also would i need a 3g phone and a 3g sim or would my vodafone sim work in a 3g phone so i could connect at fastr speeds?

hope someone out there can help me?

i would appreciate it very much!

thanks

You would never connect at the speed of 115k with the k750i you are seeing the speed between modem and PC

All you need to connect to faster speeds is a 3G handset and be in 3G coverage the same SIM will work
