Has anyone successfully used a telecom sim card in huawei 3g usb modem connected to huawei d100 3g gateway ?

Also what are settings that were used ?

Hi dud27,

The huawei D100 does not fully support our network.
It only supports 2100 MHZ UMTS which only works in the main city centres.

To operate on telecom you must have a 3g device which supports both 850 & 2100 MHZ UMTS .

The settings for telecom are

APN : internet.telecom.co.nz
user name : blank
password : blank

The D100 does not have 3G built in so it would depend on the USB modem you are plugging into it and what bands that supports

The 3G USB Modem is Huawei E173s 2 Degrees 3.6 Mbps. It connects perfectly with a vodafone and 2 degrees SIM cards. The gateway only supports Huawei 3G usb modems.

With Telecom SIM, the USB modem is recognised but will login to PPP with the correct settings as in one of your posts.

We are in Auckland City and the telecom SIm card worked fine in 2100 only phone.

I still wouldn't use a modem that only worked on 2100, your speed and coverage would be very sub-par what you should expect.
