I've been having issues ever since I started playing League of Legends when I was using the TG585 v7. The problem was that every time I started a game my ping would slowly and gradually rise without disconnecting me. I'd start at 150 ping on the NA servers, at 5 minutes it'd be 300, 10 minutes 500, 20 minutes 2000. The way to 'fix' this was to IMMEDIATELY restart the LoL client and then I wouldn't suffer from any lag; not the ideal fix if I want to start playing ranked. I figured it'd be the modem and since it was old I went and got the TG582n.

The problem is that the issue still persists. After jumping over a 101 hoops I figured it was the ports not opening. I know how to forward the ports and I have, the problem is that despite having them assigned and done, websites like http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ still tell me the ports are not open.

I'd like some help please.

If anyone's wondering these are the ports I need open: https://support.leagueoflegends.com/entries/20133372-port-forwarding-for-league-of-legends

In my experience all the Thomson/Technicolor whatever they are called now modem/routers are terrible for gaming due to their NAT implementation.

You shouldn't need to manually port forward anything for modern games, just enable UPNP / NAT-PMP and most games don't even need that and just use pin holing.

Personally I'd replace the device.
