Hi, everyone, I need some help urgently.

I tried to use the Telecom Mobile Broadband card on my desk pc, but I need an adaptor to enable me to do that.

I searched the forum, found that a company in auckland who does them, but they currently out of stock, and won't get them until 6 weeks later.

I bought an adaptor here in Palmy, but seems not working.

So, anyone here know which other brand of the adaptor will work for the Sierra Aircard 580 or 595, so I can use it on Desktop.

The one I know definally work is from Digitus, part number is DN-7002, How about other ones?

Any information will be helpful.

Or anyone who has the above one, Digitus DN-7002 and wish to seel thme, I will take them. thanks again.

Often these datacards are not intended for use with PCI -> PCMCIA adapters and will return some strange results.

While I haven't tried it personally - others may have, and may decide to add their 2 cents... but in the meantime, please be patient.

Yes, please be patient. I read your post minutes after you entered it. I looked up in some online retailers and couldn't find anything. So if you don't see a reply it's just because there's no reply...

the pc to pcmcia card adaptor is very hard to get hold of and uber expensive at approximately $400 per adaptor.  Our Computer tech has been finding it extreamly hard to get an adaptor and generally when they do come up there is only one or two avaliable.  your best bet would be to got to a maxon mini max usb modem and on sell your current card and or wait for the newest usb modem to come onto the market at the beginning for next month

All of your clients need a PC Card adapter for desktop? They don't use laptops?

Anyway, if you can wait (even though you say it's urgent), in a few weeks you will see the new Telecom USB CDMA EVDO Rev A modem - use that instead of having a PC Card...

You can actually use CDMA EVDO USB modems now. There's one available from store. Also, contact APT for more information on other connection options.

PS. Posted this reply before reading the previous entry - all the same.
