UFB was installed on Friday, the signal strength in the lounge is worse than it was on adsl. This is because the ufb modem was installed at one end of the house not the centre. (there was no access for the technician through the roof space.)

Obviously I need to extend the signal.

1) Can I use the previous adsl router (Linksys WAG320N) as an extender?

2) Can this be done without the use of cables? i.e can the 2 modem/routers communicate wirelessly?

Thanks, Mike.

1) yes, but would most likely require an Ethernet cable

2) no, there are not many device that can do this but the problem is it halves your WiFi speed

have a look at the few recent threads on Ethernet over Powerline adapters, it may or may not be what you are looking for
