Hi
Has anyone managed to do a file transfer from their Monda to a PC?
I can get the devices to see each aother with a dongle plugged into my XP laptop but I cannot move files in either direction.
I've been going round in circles!
Any suggestions?

You are probably out of luck- the Mondo Bluetooth is a profile for headsets only so most likely wont shift data to laptop- that is why it comes with USB cable and software

Not true, I have done file transfers from a Nokia 6275 to an Okta Mondo, and from Mondo to Mondo, it is however a little flaky. You need to pair the devices first, and activate the file transfer from them destination Mondo, if my memory recalls correctly.

Basically any Geek should be able to figure it out, but for the normal phone user, I agree with MFR, stick to the line it's supported for audio only.

As for Mondo to PC / PC to Mondo, I haven’t tried. Might have a look into it.

I have got it to work. I downloaded some software from www.bluesoleil.com for the dongle that seemed to help. So I have sent files from the phone to my PC and vice versa. Also I have sent files from the Okta Monda to a Nokia but not vice versa for some reason, presumably because of the flakiness that nzbnw mentions. I can't say the Mondo interface regarding bluetooth was a pleasure to work with as it was pretty unintuitive and the meaning of certain commands seemed to conflict.

Yes, BT is a little difficult with this phone...but if you select FTP file transfer when in BT settings, you should be sweet
Prolly easier to use PC tool - as this is drag and drop (after set up and using the two together a couple of times)
