Hi all,

Having some issues with our spark supplied huawei at the moment. It seems to be on/off in its connection. Will try to problem solve over weekend. If i can't fix it i may replace it.
Have found some cat6 lte modems online which should work here. Does anyone have any experience with these and whether they improve speed etc. Our reception is ok and my phone gets good speeds etc.

Cheers

Martyn

Thanks for the quick reply. So just checking i have it right. Buy from offshore so modem is completely unlocked for nz networks. Extracting the sim card and popping it into the new one won't work as the sim is tied to the current modem.

Sim is locked to the modem.

You can not do this, If you are having issues please go through normal troubleshooting with centre.

After that if you are making no progress I'm happy to work with one of my PA collogues to look deeper into the connection itself. (I'm no expert on wireless, i can do it but not to the degree you may need things investigated)

Generally dropout issues for 4G wireless relate to a few things

1, Positioning to the tower (obviously signal)

2, User error (turning modem off, filling NAT table etc)

3, 2.4ghz congestion Wi-Fi dropouts.
