I've moved into a new house and won't be able to get a proper internet connection for a few months and have decided to go with the 4G wireless broadband route. In the terms and conditions it says 'if you go over 180gb in a month three times in a row, or 300gb in a month, you may be disconnected'. How seriously do they take this? I am somebody who tends to use quite a lot of data and this really worries me. I haven't been able to find a definitive answer for unplan services as search results and FAQ pages on Sparks website refer to the normal wireless broadband plan, so somebody with experience using the service would be greatly appreciated.

Very serious so monitor your usage or speak to a neighbour and see if you can share their connection!

What's your normal usage? find with many folk, they dont realize how little they really do use.

if your in a 'Metro' area, it will be the 600GB limit rather than 180GB.

Experience wise, enforcing limits is how spark's able to keep the network running so well.

If it was just an all you can eat, you would get one sector that someone would sit there downloading and uploading the world and killing it for everyone.. Sure cell loading etc would come into it, but still it wouldnt be a optimal experience.

as noted with the 180GB 3 month soft limit and 300GB spike clause, we know some months it just happens. you leave Disney streaming at 4K all day long or something..

If you hit those limits, Spark will reach out to you and discuss it with you and work with you on options.

Also, just to be clear, the Unplan Wireless TOS as of writing this post say.

If you have Wireless Broadband and your data usage exceeds 300GB in a month, or 180GB a month for three consecutive months, Spark may change you (at Spark’s discretion) to Fibre or a new plan.
