We have an intermittant problem with our harriers where the password for the CDMA internet connection seems to dissapear and the user is prompted to enter one in (mobile@jamamobile / telecom)

The application we have written connects to the internet but does not seem to recognise that the password is required and therefore "hangs"

Out application also programmatically turns the flight mode on and off to conserve power. I think this problem mainly occurs immediately after the flight mode has been turned off?

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

David

Welcome to Geekzone...

In my experience it only "forgets" the password if a previous connection fails or is cancelled by the user before it's completed.

In these situations the service asks the password again, just to be on the safe side - what if the previous interruption was a problem with the server, a new password, etc? Since the protocol probably does not give a reason then the device assumes it's time to ask for the password again.

However if the devices are asking for this password in every connection I would look into some registry fault. If you tell me this happes with all devices you have then it could be a program part of your installation causing a registry problem?

Also, if you use an image to duplicate the devices, perhaps this is a problem on the source of this image and the problem is being replicated with it?

You can try a hard reset in one of the devices and use it without adding any program to see if it works ok. Then add a program at a time and see if it happens again.
