Hi all, thinking about getting an E72 from amazon, mainly because it is way cheaper! specifically this one

getting very confused on if it will work on XT? with all the different frequencies etc, so thought it would be easier just to ask. Ill get the phone either sent out to me via my friend, or my mate will just take it with him when he comes back from the states

So all in all, will the phone work on XT?

Note however that you will have to purchase in the U.S. and have it forwarded here. Seeing you will have no warranty at all and might need to pay GST on import, will you actually save that much money?

Careful doing this too - I imported a $NZ700 cellphone from the UK in 2002, cost me $95 import duties, and then I couldn't get it serviced here - basically cancelling out any savings I had made.

Yeah your right about not having a warrenty, it is a big cost and quite a gamble, id really settle for an e71, but telecom online has stopped selling them, anyone know what telecom store still sell them? the dunedin orb stgore dont, they replaced them with the e72, which at 1000 bucks is too much.
