Hiya,
My old CDMA phone died yesterday so I rang up Telecom to get the number changed to one of my other phones so that I could continue to use that number.
However it seems that some settings have been changed on the new phone or something because whenever I get told to enter the code it will not come up with the SPC and the people on the phone don't know what to do with it.
I took it into the local Telecom store today and the guys there had no idea what was going on with it.
When I enter the code it asks me to enter the:
Mobile ID Number
and after I enter that it asks for the
Home Digital SID
that is where the Telecom people lose it and don't know what to do.
Does anyone have any idea how to get this working? I rang up just before to transfer the number to another phone I have but they say they can't do that until they sort out why this phone won't work.

Please help me, I can't go much longer without my phone :(

Should be simple enough for a store to do has a ESN swap been done yet on the Telecom side?

Yes. I rang last night and they did one. However the programming onto the phone did not work. The lady said to wait until 7am this morning and if it was not going then take the phone into Telecom. I did that and Telecom could still not know what to do

Try another store or move to the XT network but this will require a new handset

I am looking at getting a new handset. But I was talking to the rep at Telecom and they said that a new Samsung one may be coming out soon and there is a Samsung phone that I am wanting to get so I am hoping it is that one.
I guess I will have to go without a phone for a few days then

You're phone should be asking for a MDN number (which is you're 02X number) and an MIN (173-------) 7 digits could be random or last 7 digits of you're mobile number if you have a native 027 number.

Does this not occur?

Sounds like someone has fully reset the phone so it's lost any Telecom customisations; preventing it from being programed.

Not really alot that can be done, usually programming a Nokia is a 30 second thing.

hmm that doesn't sound good. Is anything that I can do? Or do I need to send it away to Telecom for the hefty fee to get it going?
