Wow how suckie, Telecom NO LONGER send txt msg to NON-Sourced Telecom Phones for Tworld, WAP, Internet settings.
I went through 5 people at Telecom (Overseas help Desk) tonight before I was transferred back to Telecom Hamilton and got told they can't help me with my Non-Sourced Telecom Phone.
Telecom in Sylvia Park were just as useless, instead of trying to help with the settings for my Sony Erricsson W760i they tried selling my a Sony Erricsson 705 for $399, why on earth would I want to pay that when my Sony Erricsson W760i only cost $267, Well I don't need Tworld, if I want to know what my ballance is I'll call from my fone to check it.
The internet on it works so that's all good.

Look for settings in one of the sticky posts here, or www.geekzone.co.nz/nealr.

As for not supporting non-Telecom phones, the policy is not different from Vodafone's own, and makes sense. Neither can support parallel imported phones since they have no way to test all handsets to conform with their settings, neither they have all the menu options for every handset around.

The settings can be sent from the www.sonyericsson.com website to Telecom NZ XT handsets

Don't blame telecom cause you choose to purchase a device that does not have the settings preloaded
