Hey all,

I just bought a Sanyo 5600 and I am waiting for it to arrive!

I have a few questions to ask...

Is it possible to put DivX movies on the 5600 (With proper conversions of course)

What format would the movies have to be? Mp4? Anything else?

What programs would i need to use to convert?

And last but not least, has anybody tried this? If so does the 5600 play movies very well? I mean would they skip and jump all over the place?

Also, What accessories/Memory cards does the 5600 come with? I know that theres a 1gig one but i've heard people saying that it also comes with a 256mb one? Is this the case?

I have watched music videos that I have converted from divx to .3gp (the file format for mobiles) and they work just fine. The screen is probably a little small to watch a full length movie but TV shows would be OK.

If you do a search on google for divx to 3gp you should find some free converters.

What size, frame rate etc did you do your videos?

CloneDVD can convert DVDs to 3gp and divx (not a freeware). As for the quality it depends on resolution of the screen, processor speed etc.

CloneDVD mobile will convert movies to divx, mp4 etc at at lower quality than CloneDVD andits a much quicker process. You can then use a program like nokia multimedia converter to convert to 3gp. Its part of PC Suite

When you put music videos on your phone, did the sound match up with the picture correctly?

I messed around a bit last night, managing to get a video on the phone but when i played it, the sound was a second or two out of sync with the picture!

hi traxx,

here's my recommendation for your encoding rates...

Screen size 176x144
Frames per sec 15
Bitrate 128
Encoding Mpeg4 simple profile, Level 0 or H.263 baseline , Profile 0 and Level 10
Audio encoding AAC

Bear in mind you can not reate your own streaming content (so don't hint your files)

Also, I have to mention here that you should respect copyright (I'm speaking with my work hat on here)

You may have to play around a bit, but the above parameters are a good place to start!
