Hey there

Was thinking bout buying a new Nokia 6265, I just wanted to know what current users have to say about it, if its good or bad or any problems. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's a good phone, It does have it's slowness at times mainly due to the images being the size they are (2 MegaPixel)

It's a nice form factor and the slider allows a compact phone with a
large screen and keys.  I assess it as the first truly "cool" Telecom phone that gives the vodafone handsets a real challenge if not beating them in wow factor, no longer is CDMA for obscure brands and strange blocky devices!

Screen is gourgeous, Ringer is loud, keys are large enough

bad... Heavier than some, higher risk of damage if dropped. Takes miniSD card and not just SD.

And Also wait for these puppies... We are seeing some good stuff now. that 6275 on the left looks to be a winner.

paradoxsm, reposting comments made else where in the forum, but if you really think Nokia is fire... here's my thought on the Sanyo 7500... only reposting here, due to your comment

"I assess it as the first truly "cool" Telecom phone..."

"Yeah... I can see why you'd think it was an odd choice... but, I get to know a huge amount about phones... lots n lots... from a high level here are the things I like about the 75

Ruggedized (ok, kinda... my x girlfriends baby managed to chew it up a bit, but it survived much better than any other phone I've used- any network, technology, marketing malarkey), it's solid

It has (probably most importantly) the best rf of *any* cellular device I have used. Not a light comment considering I must be in the hundreds by now. Voice is still the most important thing right?

UI leaves the competition behind. I used to be one of those people that thought Nokia was well dope. Took me a day or two to but once you get your head around it you work out Nokia etc are catering to a market that has removed the phone jack from the wall and stopped there. Nokia is like Sanyo with a smack habit...

EVDO- wouldn't bother with GSM, GPRS, WCDMA... too slow... sure I can wait a couple more minutes for News, Weather etc, but why would I?

Music Downloads... not likely to be downloading more than 70 tunes OTA anyway... and I can load up my own tunes anyway.

H264 video... not many people know it, but Telecom NZ first to deliver h.264 to a mobile device and this was it... killa bees on a swarm kiddies

The cam is dope! Sure it's 1.3 mega pixel... check the quality though... mega pixels are for people that shop at Harvey Normans after they get a flyer in the mail that tells them to... it's like buying a PC cos it's got x GHz... or a TV cos it HD ready ;-)

And the old form factor balance... it's sweet as on Friday night out n about... sweet as in the office, wu tang every where...

ps you need to know what I mean by killa / wu / d (no it's not a *rap* thing) that might be why you don't get it

Cool, it sounds lke a good phone. Just a couple of questions, where can i get screen protectors and memory cards from? I have a friend wth a Nokia N70 and his screen is really scratched, its looks really ugly! does Telecom sell them?

thanks
