I rang Telecom for some advice concerning the Sanyo 8200, and the Sanyo 8300, only to be told they are both ok but the 8300 is the better one. My question is...if that is the case, the why does the review site I found say the 8200 is better than the 8300, even though the 8300 has more features? Here's hoping you can help guys!
Hi, first off, thanks for the welcome.... I may have a bit of difficulty sending the links because I went through them all and can't remember which one in particular the info came from. On Trademe at the moment there are both the 8200 and the 8300- I just missed out on the 5600- not enough cash at this precise moment, lol. I would have liked to have had an mp3 as none of my phones have had one, but next time maybe.
I have the 8200, wouldnt be my phone of choice as voice quality is terrible compared to Nokias. Function wise, its not as well thought out as the Nokias. I dont like the ring tones but I do like the feel of the phone, the cramshell design has a nice click to it which the Nokias dont. My 8200 is currently in the repairs due to a receiption error, then they gave me a brand new refurbished phone which broke straight away, and another refurbished phone was given which broke within two days.
Thanks for that info, what does anyone think about the 8300 v 9000, even the 5600- i ned one that has got a good hearing volume on it. I bought a Nokia 3205, and NEVER again! The Nokia 5120i was in a class of its own compared to that one!
I have a Sanyo 5600, and love it. It is loud and easy to use. It gets dropped and abused and just keeps on going. Great looking screen and battery life is good.
Sanyo 8300 is better than the 8200, video, better UI, and better keys by far.
Of course I am talking from a sales point of view, and I seem to receive less Sanyo 8300's for repair currently, compared to the 8200 (before it was EOL).
Sanyo 5600, is better again, music, good loud ring (loud true tones too), good UI, and mp3 player, but if you can afford it the Sanyo 9000 is just that little bit better again, EVDO makes a big difference to watching video clips etc.
