Hi

Must be possible, but before I go buy a DVD recorder, can I transfer to a DVD a program I have recorded on the TBox.
I guess if a had a TV tuner card I could also transfer the program to my notebook, but I am not sure whether there is such an item as a USB Tuner.

Any help much appreciated

Ian B

Not tried myself but the normal issue is macrovision encoding on the output channels to protect the copyright of the holder in this case Sky and the Tv Broadcasters.

Thankyou for your tips & links.

Following on the Macrovision advice, I read that this is limited to, and implemented by, the recording device, be that DVD or Tape.  One forum post mentioned that Macrovision protection would not apply to a PC connection.
I am going to try with an EasyCap DC-60+ USB device which allows PC recording by intercepting the signal where it would normally go into TV.
At $20.00 (TradeMe) its worth a shot and I will post back on success, although it may be a week or so.

Cheers

Just reporting back.
The EasyCap DC-60+ USB works fine.
I need to do some testing to set the optimum recording quality for the items I record, but very happy with the result.
