Hello
I'm in the process of arranging a new line at a holiday home so I can work remotely. Going with Voda so we can use the Sure Signal device to get better mobile coverage. I was planning on getting Naked BB, as no need for a landline for calls. When trying to sign up just now I was informed that Sure Signal can only be used on a Home Line, not on Naked Broadband. I can't think of any technical reason why this would be so, so thought I'd ask if this really is true? I've gone ahead with the Home Line for the time being, but would rather go Naked if possible...

Hi Alphabet

You're correct - Sure Signal works over your Vodafone fixed line broadband connection and does not require a phone line.

Please private message me some info about your account, like an order number, customer number or address and I'll switch it to naked for you.

Cheers

Dylan

Edit: Would be really helpful if you could please give me the URL and a copy of the text which was unclear about Sure Signal requirements, we'll get it fixed. :)

Just checked with a couple of people around the office and the verdict is that they have Sure Signal working with a Vodafone naked broadband connection.

Anecdotally, it should work OK. Best to check though.

Hi,
I have a sure signal working 100% OK with my naked DSL.
A POTS line has no affect in this situation.

Thanks.

Hi alphabet - if you haven't already done so, it would be really handy if you could private message your details to either myself or Dylan so we can follow up on the Sales process here. I'm a little concerned that the information you were given appears to be inaccurate.

Cheers,
Lon

Dear all - thank you for the speedy responses and apologies for how slow I've been... I posted and then jumped on an overseas flight 10 minutes later. I have spoken with the good folk at Vodafone again and had my account changed to Naked Broadband, and I'm told the new line will be connected today, so looking forward to a broadband connection and an improved mobile coverage at the bach this weekend --- now all we need is some better weather! Thanks again.
