I can receive incoming calls but outgoing calls fail ... they cause the called party's phone to ring, but when they answer there's no audio, and at my end there's no audio at all until I get a (slightly) garbled world exchange announcement message that the call can not be connected, please try again later.
This has been happening for a couple of days.
Unfortunately no response from the helpdesk - but only logged yesterday.
It was also happening - though now stopped - to my neighbour who has vfx.

Has something changed? Is there a known fault?

Asscess point pap2t, router wrt54g ... over rural link

Very frustrating!
thanks

Power off and power on your router and/or voip unit there is a very high odds that this will fix it but maybe only temporarly

We are looking at this at present the issue was only logged at 18:46 last night ...no there is no know fault or issue we are investigating the issue as we see some problems with your particular number and this behavior is rather strange and not seen before.

but also looking at call records , this is a ported number and may have something to do with that as you have never made a outbound call from this number, can you please dial 082210 which is voicemail and see how you go

it does look as though it may be something to do with the porting as you were working fine with another number before that is this correct ?

Can you just confirm that this has only occurred since you had the number ported as well,

As discussed Wayne, the issue appears to be Telecom dropping the Call when your ported CLI is presented to them, however when they drop the call the Clearing Cause they send causes us to play that annoncement you heard, but you can make VFX calls , we have given you a temp number on your second line until we can get Telecom to fix the issue on Monday
