Hi,
Out of curiosity my pap2t is in Australia with my brother visiting there. My sisters line has Broadband so my instructions were to simply plug pap2t to adsl modem, plug phone into pap2t and make a call. He is no computer person but I do believe he has all the right plugs in all the right places. He says there is no dial tone.

Is there anything special or settings that need changing to make it work over there.

I do have a VFX account.

There should be no problem with the unit on a broadband line in Aus, 2 things first does he have the any green lights on the Pap2, if so what are they, 2nd if you PM the VFX number or account I wil take a look and see what is happening , ie if the unit is trying to phone home etc

Is it set up for DHCP? If so, does the broadband router in use in Oz actually run DHCP? (And is it MAC filtered as well?)

If its not setup for DHCP, perhaps the IP addressing scheme is different to that in use by the router?

They would be my first ports of call.
