Hi guys,

Am trying to sort out whether The Rugby Channel on TCL/Sky tv broadcasts all live games (Internationals) in WS or just Local All blacks games?

Have talked to both customer service centres with no definitive answer, got told to switch my settings to (16:9) on tv !!!! Tried to explain that I needed to know whether the actual signal from their end is wide screen or not but blank stare.

Skywatch says replays of internationals are definately WS but no mention for Live games.

Thanks in advance

/search gave me no definitive answer either.

it depends.  All games that can be broadcast in widescreen will be.  However some countries don't yet have widescreen cameras or not enough of them.   For example Samoa v Fiji last Sunday was in 4:3, as it was played in Apia.  Supersport in South Africa don't have that many widescreen cameras it seems, as some S14 games were broadcast from there in 4:3, especially if there were multiple games there during the same round.  Games out of Australia, England and NZ are generally in 16:9.

So in short, the Rugby Channel will show in widescreen when they can.
