Yes, please marketing take the hint and copy it. Please i want my QOS to go down hill. I want slower off shore speeds. I want higher pings, I want further degraded traffic. (I doubt the VF network would be brought to its knees but i have seen other providers exercise that ability.)
Some may object to such but i would rather quality over quantity.

But surely those people on the 'unlimited' plans can be ring fenced from those with quotas.

I remember last time an 'unlimited' weekend was tried. Not good.

Other ISPs manage unlimited plans without any shaping or slowdowns. I switched from capped Snap ADSL to uncapped Orcon UFB, and I noticed no reduction in reliability or consistency.

I wouldnt go that far out and say that.
All our hand over links are 10Gig or 1 Gig depending on type and location. I saw the graphs a week back and none are even coming close to max at peak. We would have the capacity.

True, it's only an anecdote, but every ISP has customers with bad experiences. Look at TrueNet. Orcon has excellent Latency and page download times, just losing out on download speeds.

Wonder why? Im not bagging orcon or anyone in specific.
