Hi all.
A million dollar question here.....

Just looking at getting Fibre BB from VF and wondered what Modem Router Wifi combo would be a really good setup.

We are moving into our new house, so Im buying for permanent.
I dont mind spending a bit of money... But I want it fast, no dropout connection issues and powerful wifi to do the whole house.

I was looking at http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT1900AC

Thanks in advance.

how big is the house, where will the modem be situated? where is the ONT?

it probably would be better to buy an access point if the ONT is at one end of the house and the living areas are at the other.

powerful WiFi isnt always the answer, strategically places wifi is

Expecting 1 AP to provide WiFi for a whole house is an outdated approach to WiFi, especially as 2.4Ghz becomes increasingly useless and we move to 5Ghz.

Multiple low power APs are the solution.

Thanks Team... once i get a preinspection done on the house before we move in, Ill find out the cable situation, I know there are 2 phone ports in the bottom of the house in different rooms, ill find the main in and go from there.
the house isnt massive so 1 wifi ap will do.
