I have VFX working fine on WAG54GPV2.

I suggested VFX to my sister and brought her a SPA2102 which she had problems configuring.  I asked her to send the device down to me to get it going for her, her ISP is Xnet and she also has a VFX account.  I have tried plugging into port on my WAG but device would not register.  I then setup with DLINK 502T through linksys to PC.  PC can browse internet but still when looking on the linksys the device says registration failed.  Spoke to help desk on 4 diff occasions on 3 diff days and each time was informed there was no fault logged for me??  Guy I spoke to tonight said he could see the device register his end to the MAC but not the WAN IP and SPA2102 still says registration failed.  I have tried resetting to factory defaults and reprovisioning.  Unfortunatly I got cut off form the chap I spoke to tonight so still don't know if I have a fault logged so I have put everything in an email and emailed helpdesk.

I tried putting device in DMZ, turned off firewall, forwarded ports but still no go.  Anybody got any ideas?  Dont want them going back to Telecom.

Apart from this latest little issue XNET VFX has been working great for me and I have found them to be very helpfull.  Awesome ISP - keep up the good work.

Did you set up the DNS entries in the SPA2102?

Also, you should be running the SPA2102 on a Static IP address if you aren't already.

P.S.  One more thought:  Have you got the Internet (WAN) port of the SPA2102 connected to your router, rather than one of the Ethernet (LAN) ports?

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Grant.

Hi Scott

Believe we have found the issue, this was unit was brought second hand I take it, we were not aware of this, it appears the details from the old account were stopping this device getting on the network as it was picking up the old details not the new details, if you restart your device if should pick up the corrected info now.

Any issues PM me directly

Thanks Very much.  I got about 4 calls from WXC on Wed and is now working perfectly.

All very happy now so thanks once again.

PS. I purchased the device new for my sister then she had problems so was sent down to Wellington for me to test.
