Hi,

Just got our Vodafone bill for the month, and we've been charged for additional traffic (89GB) on an unlimited ultra fast plan.  I recently dropped my home phone going to a naked unlimited plan, but don't see how that suddenly puts me on the hook for data overages.  Anyone else had this happen?

I guess I'm calling Voda tomorrow *sigh*

Jason

Was this a plan change? Were you on another plan and when did you change it?

Hi

I was not on a contract.  I dropped my home phone since I don't use it anymore, but stayed on an unlimited plan.  I also dropped from unlimited 130/10 plan to the unlimited 100/10 since I don't get the benefit of the extra 30Mbps.  Anyhow, the itemisation of the bill says additional 89Gb.

In fact I even agreed to 12 month contract for the discount since I can't get fibre in my area anyhow (Kapiti coast, on cable)

Not a contract but you changed the plan speed then? And your previous plan was unlimited already?

Have you contacted Vodafone to confirm they didn't put you on the wrong plan by any chance?

Have you contacted Vodafone to confirm they didn't put you on the wrong plan by any chance?  Not Yet.   Customer zone shows me currently on unlimited plan, bill shows me being moved off of 130/10 unlimited to 100/10 unlimited but somehow additional traffic for the entire month.

The *sigh* was because I'm going to have to call.  Last time I called, it was not a fun experience...

Yes, this will be a wait. Unless some of the good Vodafone folks here contact you.

Is it possible that you changed part way through a billing period so the overage is their way of showing a part charge?

yeah, that's what I figured. I know the Voda guys here are pretty good, just wanted to know if this was a one off or not first.

thanks Mauricio!

dingbatt I've changed from cheaper to more expensive ones before and they bill it as expected. this went from more expensive to less and my bill went up. looks like a mistake, so will give them a ring tomorrow.

I was in the same situation after upgrading from 60GB cable to unlimited data. A few tweets to Vodafone and I got the account credited.
