I live on North Shore and am on Vodafone 3G Broadband (vodem).

Can anyone tell me where Vodafones cell sites are on the North Shore.
Or perhaps point me to a link for a map or list of their locations etc.

Would love to know how far they are from me.

I found the Cell Sites group on http://www.zoomin.co.nz which has a good listing of Central and West Sites, but not North Shore.
Been Googling for hours trying to find info.

The vodafone site has their coverage map, but thats not quite enough for me.
I reckon their web site could do with a map of the cell site locations.

The best I can offer is our coverage tool that allows you to put in a street address and find out what the coverage is like on the street outside...

You'll find it here.

Cheers

Full details including the location of most Vodafone & Telecom cellsites are available in the MED's Radio Frequency Register which you can view online. This will give you a cellsite map grid reference which you can then look up to see an exact location.

http://www.rsm.med.govt.nz/pls/web/DBSSITEN.main?p_option=SMARTSR

The location of cellsites is largely irrevelant to 99% of customers so Vodafone will not make this information available.

thanx sbiddle & johnr

sbiddle - I don't understand that site. I couldn't find a map. I look the whole thing over, searched a few times in their different forms for vodafone, and searched frequences etc and locations and got northing that made sence.

Can you elaborate on how you find the info you were talking about?

Could you advise the location of 3g sites in Whangarei please?

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Not really as I don't live there the only reason why I could name the above sites as I have driven past them many times!

Put in my address (manukau) and got:

2G/2.5G coverage in your area

Best

This location has a very strong signal, so you will definitely experience excellent quality for all services. Your mobile data connection will be as fast as a dial-up connection.

In reality, can barely hold a call, drops out on the odd occasion but often cannot hear the other party and vice versa.

I seem to have bad luck with Voda coverage, last place I lived in (Grafton) was the same.
