They probably will. It'll be a while before they even acknowlege that anything's wrong though.

As far as I've noticed, no.

Or that could be a temporary problem. Calling it "going downhill" is a bit much without a history of mishaps, isn't it?

Are you asking because you are insteresd in moving to their services?

I don't know if you would call it going downhill, or a interruption to their normal scheduling :-) but XNET's service is slipping with huge hold times, and the speeds on both my connections are dropping. I sync at work at 10 Megabits but only get a couple of MBits throughput now.

It's reminding me of why I canceled my ihug connection - because I couldn't use the alloted 60GB each month, lucky I only pay for what I use now, but it's still annoying.

I think it's the age old problem of getting too big too quickly, I know they are hiring more helpdesk staff, and I would assume more bandwidth will be provisioned.

Well, in fairness, this isn't the first time we've seen this issue.

As Xnet is one of the first ISP's to have Naked DSL there helpdesk is currently overloaded.
I am sure that with the added subscribers Maverick will organize for more international bandwidth to be provisioned.

i hear alot of people saying theres slow international speeds but i get around the same national as international speeds. i also read people getting pings to games like 200-600 on aussie severs , but i get around 35 interleaving on to nz severs. They say people are gettting 600 pings to aussie games cause it goes through a differnt route is this true? And will it effect playstation 3 network games like call of duty 4 and games to come?

I read in another discussion you just changed from Xtra to Xnet, then back to Xtra. If you are serious about changing ISP again then you can do your own research at NZ Connections.

I think this guy was banned from gpforums for making too many pointless threads, and so he started spawning them here.

I just downloaded a DVD ISO from an Indonesian site at a sustained 4 MB/s peaking at 5 MB/s.   That's my peak ADSL speed as posted by speedtest.net so I am one happy customer.  I used to be with Woosh where on wireless I got 110 kb/s at best and even after I swapped to ADSL it got to just under 1 MB/s peak but only about 200 kb/s most days.

Even my daughters have noticed the huge speed increase and they never notice anything new normally.  Their favourite sites "youtube" and "facebook" are lightening fast, most videos download on youtube in under 10 seconds compared to 10 minutes on woosh.

XNet's international speed slowed down until March when it jumped back to normal.  It is because they had run out of international bandwidth and it took a while until their increased bandwidth request was activated (or something like that).  I was getting around 1.2Mbps, now it is back up over 6Mbps.

Definitely the same guy who was banned from GPForums.
