Hi

I'm a noob at the XNet stuff but intend to use it so am trying to work it all out.
I currently have crappy dial-up at home but intend connecting to Fusion asap.

I recently bought a WAG54GP2 online to use with Xnet Fusion (don't have any broadband gear at the moment) as this is what the CSR at WorldxChange recommended.

I asked the seller if it was a WAG54GP2v2 as per the XNet website and he said it was but what I received was a WAG54GP2-SG.

Questions:
  1. will this unit work with Fusion?
  2. what cable do I need to connect the unit to the wall socket? - it looks like the one I currently use (dial-up) won't fit the socket labelled LINE (though it would plug into the PHONE sockets)

I haven't tried plugging anything into it yet as cause if I've been sold the wrong product for what I want it to do it's going back.

TIA

I've got bought the same one for fusion

1. Yes (can't see why not although have not got fusion installed yet)

2. The line and phone sockets on the back are the same. If the cable fits in one it'll fit in the other. The only difference i see is that the line socket is upside down. The cable should look like this on ends (mine does) http://www.cabling4less.co.uk/prodimgs/TelephoneCable.jpg

Yes you are fine with this model, the SK means it was manufactured in Singapore, this is because of limited stock for NZ due to the huge demand so they shipped some stock from Singapore, they will be fine for connecting to VFX

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink
