Hey everyone,

I'm new here but have usually ended up looking at these forums when there's been some sort of problem with internet etc....

..can anyone point us in the right direction?.... we have an ihug home landline and we are getting cellphone and toll charges on our account for the last couple of billing preriods to consistant numbers (we only just noticed after looking into a bill that had $90 of calls on it!) - these are calls we definitely have not made and no-one else lives here or has access..

looking back over accounts this appears to have been happening since january.  Ihug says there is nothing wrong with their system and the calls were made on our phone line after looking into it (but i think they would deny anything anyway....)

could this actually be a billing error or crossed line? they aren't very helpful and cant do jack at the call centre. We have put a toll-bar in place i the meantine...

any help would be appreciated!

cheers,

Ross.

Have you called the numbers to see who picks up? Dont use the line in question since they may say well you called it once so it was you all along.

Really all you can do is keep disputing it. I would change provider now since ihug were known to suspend service which was overdue even when under dispute.

Just keep disputing the calls. They cannot baycorp you for an amount under dispute so you just have to wear them down. Dont accept any partial credits etc, because a partial credit is admission of them stuffing up so they should give a full one. Keep all correspondence with them about it so you can show it if you ever get to taking them to the dispute tribunal.
