Hi,

I have a Vodafone-supplied HG659 acting as a WiFi AP (2.4 GHz). Its running the latest firmware.

My home network has both wired and wireless devices, communicating via the HG659.
The basic problem is that the wireless devices are unable to communicate with each other.
As one of the wireless devices is a printer this creates a problem.

A summary of the intercommunication status is:

wired or wireless > wired works
wired > wireless works (with a static ARP entry for the wireless device)
wireless > wireless fails (wireless devices can reach the HG659 but not other wireless devices beyond that)

The device addresses are a mixture of static and DHCP.

Turning firewall/iptables off makes no difference.

In the HG659 "Enable AP isolation" is unticked. The guest network is disabled.

Is there anything else in the HG659 which blocks wireless to wireless comms?.

Thanks

are you connecting the other ap via the wan port? if so disable dhcp after changing the local lan address to something you can reach and just plug the lan into the lan ports.

The only AP is on the HG659. The wired devices are also directly connected to the HG659.

I have just got a HG659 and have managed to connect all our wireless devices except we can't get the wireless Brother 2060 printer to print.

We have got it scanning, but for some reason, we can't seem to get printing to work.

It worked fine with the old Vodafone Station............

Can anybody help please?
