I'm about to move to a house thats got cable so need to replace my current wireless ADSL router. From trawling through this forum I see that most people recommend the Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT installed for best results with Telstra Cable. Has anyone tried one of the wireless n routers? I'm particularly interested in the WRT160N and WRT310N.

I'll just add that I DON'T recommend getting an Airport Extreme - I have one and need to restart it at least twice a day to keep it working.

I have an Airport Extreeme and have had almost no issues.

The only issues I had was it locking up when accessing an attached USB disk, but changing the HD enclosure has seemed to fix that!

Set ipv6 to local-link only in your airport manager. had this issue for ages, had a replacement unit that did the same thing. this was the only thing that stopped it - turning ipv6 off in the router and on the computer. Aside from that the Airport Extreme is a great router but I've had too many bad experiences with it.

I have used a Linksys WRT300N for a couple of years and it's never failed me. I believe they have a brand new version of the same model so maybe give that a go?

I'm running the new WAG160N at home and I'm liking it, opps forgot to add have been trying the WRT160N as well and it's pretty good as well imho.

I've been trying out a Linksys WAG160N also (the DSL version of the WRT160N) and haven't had any problems with it yet - but it's only been a few days. My only comment would be that it seems to run quite hot.

Yes I would also make that comment, it does appear to run hot on the underneath side of the unit.
