Hi everyone a quick question about remote options.

I have a gen 2 VFTV box in the garage it feeds into a HDMI splitter with 1 output going to the lounge and one output going to the bedroom. It works flawlessly as the 2 tv's arnt watched at the same time so no need to payout for a second box. What would be nice is the ability to have 2 remote controlers in both places i.e. 1 in the lounge and 1 in the bedroom (at the moment you have to remeber to take the remote back and fourth).

I have a second remote the origionally came from a gen 1 box that I cant seem to get to work with a gen 2 box but I also see there is an option of getting a harmony remote but would this work? The remote comunication would all have to be done via blue tooth?

Hopefully someone my have some insight.

Thanks

Ian

Thanks for pointing out there is a search function within geekzone but I can’t see that my question has been discussed or answered before. Maybe I should have asked can you have 2 remotes working at the same time via Bluetooth?

Thanks
Ian

I have both a Harmony and the original remote paired to my box at the same time by Bluetooth. No issues. I use the Harmony 99% of the time, only using the original remote when the VTV Gen 2 box goes a little AWL and needs a reset.
