Just about use any phone / cordless and plug it into the telephone port on the Ultrahub
I may be wrong, but doesn't it need to be a phone that's powered by an AC adapter? There are still on the market very cheap old-style handsets that are not - the sort you may want for an elderly person. Any cordless phone should be good.

I would be keen to know the REN output of an ultrahub, my guess is around 1REN which means yeah, pretty much a cordless phone base station is about it

@Olderama ... I used my 3 year old Panasonic cordless straight out the wall socket and into the Ultrahub.
I then cut the outside copper link, and my internal wiring extensions carried on no problems complete with an extension phone (old style handset) in bedroom, and an extension ringer in the kitchen.
