Is the anywhere with adsl2+ in NZ? I'm on xnet in Ilam in christchurch, and got speeds of 960kb/s download on steam, which i believe is faster than adsl can go, yet it is disappointingly slow compare to those speeds achievable by either adsl2 or cable.

yes lots of places on ADSL2+ I am getting 15739Kbps down and 869 up

There are lots of places like said above :) but....you won't get ADSL2+ with Xnet.They've limited themselves to ADSL1 :(So even if your line supports it, it'll still only run at ADSL1 speeds due to reasons unknown within Xnet.

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

Unless you use their Fusion product, in which case you get adsl2 - if your line suports it.

Yep, I use Fusion. See my speeds in earlier post. They are better than ADSL1

Thanks guys for clearing that up. Correct me if i'm wrong but the fusion plan is naked dsl isn't it, so no line rental. Also for those of you who are on it what are the speeds like over night, because on the adsl1 torrential plan, you get 75gb free but the speeds are so slow you can't even use it. Is this the same on the fusion plans?
