i got a sgh-d500 sent as a gift from uncle.He has used it in england with t-mobile network. i liv in nz, i tried using vodafone nz sim card with this fone i get the same msg evry time "network lock" i am supposed to put 8 digit keys in that. i tried some of your keys but didnt work. i cant use * and # buttons. i can only use 1-10 digit keys. is there any place in nz where i can unlock my phone for cheap prices. Please help.

You have to use a code sent by the original network operator - in this case T-Mobile. If the phone is locked to a contract you may have to pay the contract before receiving this code.

Get new firmware flashed to the handset and that will fix the issue

i dnt know how to flash the fone, i dont have the serial cable but i can get it where do i get the firmware from please help.
