Does anyone know if its possible to get a fixed (static) IP address on a mobile broadband device connected to the Vodafone network?

it is possible technically but i don't think they offer it as a product

Yes, and if thats a problem I apologise, and I'm sure the mods will delete it.  But since the forums are organised as separate entities for Telecom and Vodafone I thought it there may be two different answers, and that two questions were therefore appropriate, one in each forum that it applies to.

On a standard data connection Static IP is not provisioned
