But then you'd require an 025/027 handset, no?

Vodafone have also licenced the technology as well and were supposed to be launching it later in the year, anybody know anything about this that they can talk about?

What's really funny is that the question #270 about a Vodafone TV ad is in a topic about an iPod ad... Talk about OT - and seeing that this iPod ad is mostly aired in the USA, no one there will know the answer, since VF will not show this ad there - ever...

Did I also hear that VFNZ departed from the traditional 3G advertising in favour of its own especially in NZ?

email vodafone customer services - it might take a few days of forwarding your email around, but you may get an answer

I can possibly find out.

Anyway, the popular Baileys "antigravity bar" ad is "4 hero - les fleur"

Ipod ad for the Normal ipod is "Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc"

I can email the Baileys ad to anyone who would like it.. it seems to be quite popular. PM me.

Shame the voice quality with 027 is so shocking on most phones that Telecom Song ID does not work. I spent $10 trying to get it to guess that Gorillaz song which Telecom gladly refunded!

Luckily the Sanyo does work well and has well restored my faith in 027.

I thought that it said on the tv ad that it was 89c (might be wrong) on each successful ID.

I wasn't trying to be smart.... but there was something from that ad that bugged me.

From Telecom Song ID page
You can Song ID as many songs as you like and it costs just 99c for each successful song tag. And if we're unable to tag your track, you won't be charged.

(Was wrong about the 89c thing)

Going back on topic... has anyone tried the voda ad to see if it ID's?

I emailed them and this is what i got...

All the music for our 3G advertisment was written specifically for Vodafone NZ and is sung by Dee Taylor ( guitarist/vocalist for " Mary " a NZ girl band ). The music does not have a title and is not available for sale or copy.

yep so i got my question answered but the sad thing is that the song was WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY for Vodafone... and also... it's NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE.
>_< very stinky... hahaha
