Hi

I have just switched to OpenVFX and was able to get my Android Nexus S receiving and making calls but when I try to use Asterisk I get a voice message saying "the number you have dialed is not in service"

It appears to be registered correctly (looks the same as my Android) - Tried also with my Linksys WAG54GP2 with no success - I have also now locked myself out of the voice menus :( but managed at least to disable the phone line.

Here is my sip.conf settings:

[general]

;; VFX settings
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
registertimeout = 20
regseconds = 180
register=4nnnnnn:PPPPPPPPPPPPPP:UUUUUUUUUUUUUU@pan.wxnz.net/4nnnnnn

[VFX]

type=peer
fromdomain=as.wxcnz.net
fromuser=4nnnnnnn ; this is your VFX Number without the leading 0 i.e. 9950XXXX
host=pan.wxnz.net
insecure=invite,port
canreinvite=no
nat=yes
secret=PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
defaultuser=UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

CLI> sip show peers
Name/username Host Dyn Forcerport ACL Port Status
VFX/UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU 58.28.20.150 N 5060 Unmonitored
android/android 192.168.1.12 D A 36322 Unmonitored
CLI> sip show registry
Host dnsmgr Username Refresh State Reg.Time
pan.wxnz.net:5060 N 4nnnnnnn 285 Registered Tue, 10 May 2011 09:56:40
1 SIP registrations.

And on myvfx:

Endpoint Type: Primary
Line/Port: 4nnnnnnn@xport.co.nz
Identity/Device Profile Name: JACOTT1_GENERICSIP ( Group )
URI: sip:4nnnnnnn@10.64.1.50:5060;rinstance=4dc85d4b3a6ad8a3;transport=udp Expiration: Tue May 10 12:34:55 NZST 2011

Any help much appreciated

Geoff

I only see 2 calls from your number and they are both to our 0800123123 number and where successful, so it looks like you are not send ing the calls, this would indicate a dialplan issue

I have only been sending calls to 0800123123 for testing purposes. Outgoing calls work fine it is just incoming calls that don't.

Is that something to do with the dialplan? Here is what I have set up (BTW I am new to Asterisk)

[default]
....
exten=>4nnnnnn,1,Dial(SIP/android,20)

[users]
exten=>_XXXXXX.,1,Dial(SIP/VFX/${EXTEN})

Do you have an inbound call route set?

Do inbound calls actually hit your Asterisk box? You cal tell this by looking at the debug traffic.

No the calls don't appear to be hitting the asterisk server. I don't know "what an inbound call route" is.

Thanks for your help.

I think I've got it working:

[VFX]
exten=>4nnnnnnn,1,Dial(SIP/python,20)

Next Question:

Is there anyway to restore my linksys config so that I can configure the voice settings? Also can I connect the Linksys phone lines to my asterisk server?

Thanks

Geoff

Linksys box will register fine to Asterisk as extensions.
