Evening.
Does the data allowance "month" run from the day your service was activated? Or from 1st day of the month to the last day?

cheers

Data allowance runs from the day your BB was activated.

Billing runs from 1st to end of month.

Although today my counter has been reset, despite it not being either the 1st of the month or my activation date...

I imagine its because they are changing your plan to give you 50% more data and putting your price up at the same time.
That was supposed to happen 1st July (which is tomorrow)

From the vodafone website:

"From 1 July 2011, we're increasing the data allowances on our plans but there's no change to the prices."

"From 1 July 2011, we will be increasing some of our monthly plan charges."

I can easily find my data is going from 30 to 45GB - I got an email telling me all about it too.

I was, until reading this thread, completely unaware of the CPI increase, maybe because I haven't been paying attention, or I missed the email telling me about it, if there was one.  I also can't find out how it affects my plan, or any others for that matter.  I assume it's because the price isn't actually changing, as stated on their website...

I did before I posted and there is no mention of any change in price as far as I can see.  There's no change on my bill either, probably as it's June's bill, not July's - can you find it on your account?  I can only assume my plan is one that isn't changing in price.

I don't know which plans it is affecting, but going by the other thread definitely the ultimate plan is going up.

See this thread on VF forums regarding summary usage not showing correctly - http://forum.vodafone.co.nz/topic/8189-confirmed-fixed-line-internet-data-usage/

Easy, Ideal and Ultimate are all getting data increase at no extra charge.

Easy was 5gb now 8gb
Ideal was 10gb now 15gb
Ultimate was 30gb now 45 gb

The CPI increase is only for grandfathered plans - current plans are not increasing in price.

The extra data will have been added this morning, not on your next data cycle.

you should probably clarify that in the other thread because the guy in there is on the ultimate pack and got a letter advising of a price rise. Presumably the letter was sent out incorrectly?

This customer is likely on the grandfathered version of Ultimate pack. Although the plan has the same name, this cust will likely be paying a cheaper rate than the current Ultimate pack and it wouldn't include benefits such as free talk0.
