Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has expereinced issues running xp and vista together on wireless network. We have a dick smith wireless router (access point) 802.11g 4-port which runs 2 xp machines and 2 mac machines (leopard and tiger os). These all work fine (it took a while to teach xp to share). We use WEP security. Now my flatmate has just bought a Sony Vaio machine running vista. It can see the network but wont connect. Once I disabled the security of the router, it connected fine, but then the xp machine wouldnt connect at all: which is very odd because it was happy on the unsecured network we had running in the beginning. Once i turned the security back on, the vista machine lost connection and the XP machine was back on. Now is the issue to do with IP addresses? WEP security? Sony Vaio Vista PC ? Our DSE router? I dont have time to figure this out and really need some expert help...

Without having played with Vista much, my first thought would be has Vista stopped supporting WEP encryption?  WEP is VERY insecure, and doesn't really pass for security anymore, so it wouldn't surprise me.  Try WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK and see if that works.
