Hi

I recently signed up to a 2talk "Go Free" account to test out VoIP. The test went well, so I now plan to switch to VoIP as a landline replacement.

I would like to upgrade to the "2talk 10" plan, which includes one local number.

If I upgrade my plan in the 2talk online portal, will I then be able to add a regional number at no extra cost? Or will I be stuck with the 028 number I was given when I signed up to the free plan? (and if so, would I be better off creating a new account rather than upgrading my existing one?).

Cheers!

No, all accounts start off with an 028 number. Once you upgrade to a "2talk 10" plan you will get the monthly cost of a regional number included in the plan cost.

However, the "2talk 10" plan does not include the porting cost to move your regional number from your current provider to 2talk.

EDIT: depending on how many calls you make, you may find it cheaper to stay on the free plan and just pay the $6.50 per month for the regional number, that's what I do as we make very little non-local calls.
