Hi

I'm setting up a Cisco SPA303 VOIP phone with 2talk. Currently I am getting one way calls (works for outgoing calls but no incoming). 2talk recommended that I disable SIP ALG on the router. But its not obvious how I do that. The router is a Cisco DPQ3925. Any ideas? There are sections in the manual about ALG settings but none relating to SIP. http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/video/at_home/Cable_Modems/3900_Series/OL-30824-01.pdf

Thanks!

We had that on a Snom system a year ago.  Surprisingly, fixing the CODECs to G.711A and G.711U sorted it.

Have you got a router plugged in to that modem?

Like Dynamic said, check your codes too. In the 2talk panel go to 'voice quality & networking' and set the codecs you want. Then go in to your line settings in the spa303 and set the order you want them in.

I'm confused.  According to Google and the link you provided, the DPQ3925 is a DOCSIS3 Modem, Router, AP.

Is Vodafone providing those on the cable network now?

It appears that it has two VOIP ports on it.  Is the VoIP traffic being automatically directed to those ports or have you been able to disable them?

Also have you set up STUN on the SPA303?

If the out going calls are working, it sounds more like the 303 just isn't registering properly.  Have you logged on to Live and checked that the device is registering?

Ah, if the modem/router has a built in ATA you will need to change the sip port on that to something other than 5060.

Your other option is to register your spa303's on 50600, or like 2talk said, use TLS on 5061

Wow. Great responses here. What a great community.

I will try these various ideas and let you know.

DonGould - the DPQ3925 is a DOCSIS3 Modem, Router, AP. I am setting this up for a colleague in Australia (using a 2talk Aussie number).
