Hi all

I am currently with 2Talk and heading to Australia soon, I am hoping to connect with a Voip provider (similar to 2Talk or Hero) over there, I am trying to work out a way where people can contact me by dialing a NZ phone number which connects to my Australian Voip phone number, cost is a factor with reference to per minute charges inbound I would try and by pass any such call costs but willing to pay a subscription based service if affordable.

I thought about using a virtual NZ phone number that connects through to my Australia Voip number, would appreciate if anyone has done something similar or has an idea that might help.

2talk already provides everything you need, including the Australian number. Since you're already a customer, why leave? Just add an Aussie number to your account and answer them both using your phone in Aus.

Couldn't you just keep your 2talk number and let people call you on that?

I might be missing something as well but why would you want to forward your number? You would just keep your same number and device in Australia.

If you want to use a single provider there are plenty of options from Australian and NZ providers to have numbers in both countries.

I spent 11/2 years in Europe and 2talk worker brilliantly. People would call on all sorts of time and were surprised to hear that by calling my (NZ)home phone they would get me in EU.. I did not take my NZ gear with me. Just bought an upgrade over there. You can also get the 2talk app(android) and make calls over 2talk from you mobile.

Oh thanks everyone for your feedback I didn't think 2Talk did any of that, maybe I misunderstood their services, ok will follow through with that.
