You are my last hope! I have looked everywhere and I am damed if I can find a solution for this, or even a company that can answer simple questions.
We have woosh here in Bluff and I have been using skype and other VOIP for outgoing calls, its not perfect but its OK. Now wanna drop our telecom line completely and just have woosh for internet and phone (cost saving measure only) I have a work mobile for emergency calls etc.
I looked at woosh phone, which seems OK but for VOIP it seems kinda expensive compared to others? getting setup for outgoing calls seems easy enough with an Aussie or american company, but how do I get an incoming number for others to ring me from a PSTN phone?
I looked at iTalk, but they provide Auckland local numbers only, which means I might be better with woosh phone? Is there any other options for me? I have a SIP capable phone on order, now I am afraid I wont be able to use it.
Rung MynetfoneNZ about 10 times over the last couple of days, and the operator said they dont know ANYTHING about the service at all and they will get an eng to call me back, which they dont.
So hellppp! Am I tied to telecom forever or forced to pay woosh's high voip rates...... which I guess is still better than telecoms, but they tie you into a contract for a year

Thanks
Brian
