Hi,
I have a WAG310G with some sip phones that I have been unable to register with Xnet.

I can register them with Callcentric.

I have naked DSL with Xnet.

I guess I have to make some changes to my WAG310G.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I will also call Xnet to hear again the "Unsupported Speech" .

if you have a line already configured what sip ports have you set up for line 1 and line 2

details are pretty straight forward,

Proxy: as.wxcnz.net
Outbound_Proxy: 58.28.20.150
Use_Outbound_Proxy: Yes
Use_OB_Proxy_In_Dialog: Yes
Register: Yes
Make_Call_Without_Reg: No
Ans_Call_Without_Reg: No

Then just the supplied user details, the rest is up to you,

As you see there is a very large amount of config and details here and the reason for the unsupported speech is that you can't expect us support your device when we don't know how YOU configured it, if don't set it up right we could spend hours on the phone with you trying to get it sorted just to find it was one little paparemter you ahd set wrong.... happy to have the devices but pretty unfair to expect us to support it if we dont control the config.

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I have just realised there was a possibility to set up the WAG310G using those LINE1 and LINE2 ports.
Conincidentally found the SIP section in the VOICE settings just a minute ago.

I just have my phone plugged into the ethernet port. Do I just have to forward the port range 5060 - 5065?

Or are there some more settings? I don't doubt that there are a huge amount of settings to contend with.

I just have two hardware phones that I can't get to work. My software phones arent ideal when the computer is switched off.

At least for a company supported router we could have some more settings out there or a howto guide?

I am very happy with Xnet overall.

You need to put the details into the router itself under the voice section before the line will register and you will have those details from the email you would have been sent.

The phone needs to be plugged into Line1 or Line2 of the wag310 depending on which line you configure.

Awesome. For using the line 1 and 2 ports with an ordinary phone. I am not using this function at the moment.

My hardware ip phone has only ethernet ports and goes into the wag310g's RJ45s. That is what I would like to get working.

probably would have been a good thing to mention at the time, so you probably need to supply a little bit more info , like how may phones , do they have both numbers on them , what is the make , what have you tried, what is the response you are getting etc,

I do not see any SIP attempts for your number trying to register, the router will pass outbound traffic so nothing needs to be done "yet" it will be how you have set up the device most likely but need more info first.

I have just bought an Android phone. Perhaps you are using a SIP app with Xnet? Can you recommend one in particular? Maybe this may be a better option for me at this stage. I have the Huawei X5 Ideos.

If so would it be possible to say exactly which settings are which. I seem to be getting mixed with

Ok looks like people are using Sipdroid. I will have a play with that. I am getting a 401 not authorized reply at the moment with Sipdroid

You are now using the wag310, you are getting rejected by the looks of it due to authid, it looks like you have a copied a space in front of the the authid,

Hi, I checked the spaces and nothing there. I will try with my callcentric voip provider to get this working.
I was dissappointed to download the 3CX app and not make it work when I have the windows version working.
urrrggh. Something basically wrong for sure. I am at home and using the android on wifi with wag310g.

Let me try to register with Callcentric.com

You have something going on as the SIP agent being seen is from the wag310, perhaps gopinto the wag310 and turn the SIP ALG off

And we see the space in front of the Authid

just looked at your lastest, you no longer have the authid in you have the user name in the authid field

The auth name is wrong it needs to be the authid not the user name

I have a WAG310G with line1 connected to Xnet, but am trying to get line2 to connect to a local asterisk/freepbx box.

Any ideas how? I am very very new to this and muddeling my way through as best I can.

In line2 the things I have changed are the proxy/outgoing proxy and mailbox i.p to the asterisk box, and all the subscriber information.

In freepbx (2.9) i have added a sip device to match these settings as closely as I can, yet the line2 light is not coming on on the router...

voip is a crazy new world!
