Hi there, I am in need of some assistance with Windows 7 Video/Internet Loading Issues.
First I'd like to point out the obvious, my internet is working fine, and speedtest.net gives me a near perfect 100mbit fibre connection. Also, I'd like to point out that one laptop in my household works flawlessly on the internet with no issues.
Secondly, I am a bit techie myself, so I'll describe the problem the best I can for you to understand.
So... The Problem:
Basically, I am having a load of issues using the internet with 2 desktop computers in my house. So I'll start with my setup. I am running a 100/50 Fibre Connection with Snap as my ISP. 2 computers in my house are directly connected to the router, and both have problems. Speedtest speeds show a consistent Ping of about 8ms within NZ, and 94mbit Download and 51mbit Upload.
When we are surfing the net, it seems to randomly stall alot. From loading websites like Facebook, Speedtest, and pretty much everything. This mainly includes any and all video files on the internet, such as YouTube. The video simply stalls a few seconds through playback, or shows a generic error.
I have tried everything I can think of, including:
- Updating Java
- Updating Flash Video Player
and completely re-installing the entire operating system (Windows 7 Professional)
Oddly enough, the only computer in the house that does NOT have a problem, is the laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, though wi-fi.
If you can figure out what's causing this problem, I'd be VERY grateful.
Save me geek-wan-obi... you're my only hope...
